Encaustic Painting Techniques.

Saturday January 21st 2017 , 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Over the course of two Saturday workshops, students will learn the ancient techniques of painting with melted beeswax and resin. This dynamic and creative art form has evolved into an “anything goes” nature, and this course will offer not only the basics of encaustic painting, but also explore some of the other creative possibilities of working with this medium. Layering, incising, collage, and image transfer techniques , as well adding other elements such as stones, shells, and other found objects will be demonstrated .

All materials and Equipment will be supplied .
Registration fee: $100.00 payable to instructor at first class
Materials fee of $50.00 payable to instructor at first class

Workshops will take place in CoWork at The Cotton Factory,
Studio 301 – 3rd Floor, 270 Sherman Avenue North, Hamilton

All levels welcome.
